Samsung Galaxy A9 is the world's "first quad rear camera" smartphone, was launched in India on Tuesday. The smartphone sports four separate rear cameras with a setup featuring telephoto, ultra-wide and depth sensors. There is also a 24-megapixel camera at the front that supports handful of beauty features as well as software-backed Face Unlock functionality. Apart from the optics, the Galaxy A9 features a full-HD+ Infinity Display panel with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The smartphone also has upto 8GB of RAM and sports a 3D Glass curved back. 
Additionally, it comes with preloaded Bixby voice assistant as well as Samsung Pay and Samsung Health.

Samsung Galaxy A9 sports daul-SIM (Nano) and runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based Samsung Experience UX and features 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2220 pixels) Infinity Display that has a Super AMOLED panel and an 18:5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC that has four cores clocked at 2.2GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz. This is coupled with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.

The Galaxy A9 has a quad rear camera setup, along with an LED flash. The setup includes a 24-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/1.7 aperture, a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 120-degree lens supporting an f/2.4 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The primary sensor notably uses a pixel binning technique to combine four pixels into one. For selfies, there is a 24-megapixel sensor at the front that comes with an f/2.0 aperture. The frontal sensor enabled enables a preloaded Face Unlock feature. 

Samsung Galaxy A9 Price in India

The Samsung Galaxy A9 with 6GB RAM starts at Rs. 36,990 in India, while the 8GB RAM variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 39,990. Both models come in Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black and Lemonade Blue colour variants. The Galaxy A9 will go on sale in the country through all online ( Amazon, Flipkart, Patym Mall, Airtel Store and Samsung Shop) and offline channels starting November 28. Customers can pre-book the handset. Moreover, customers will also be able to avail a cashback worth RS. 3,000 when purchasing the Galaxy A9 using a HDFC debit or credit card. 
Samsung has also tied up with Bharti Airtel to offer the Galaxy A9 6GB RAM variant through the Airtel Online Store at a down payment of Rs. 3,690 and EMI of Rs. 2,349, while the Galaxy A9 8GB RAM variant will be available at a down payment of Rs. 4,890 and EMI of Rs. 2,449. Customers purchasing the handset through the EMI options will receive Airtel postpaid plan bundles along with benefits such as unlimited voice calls, national roaming and a free subscription to Airtel TV.

Xiaomi Black Shark Helo, Gaming Phone Goes on Sale Early

Xiaomi's  Black Shark Helo  gaming phone was  announced a week ago  and the release date was supposed to be November 10, but it appears that the handset is arriving a bit early. A lot earlier, in fact. In a Weibo post, Lei Jun, Xiaomi's founder, announced that the official Mi online store will start selling the phone as early as today. The flash sale begins at 8PM local time and as far as we can tell from the post, it's the second one for today. Unfortunately, the 10GB version is still not here to be found and the store is offering the 8GB/128GB and the 6GB/128GB configurations only. The 6GB model will sell for CNY 3,199 ($459) while the asking price of the 8GB alteration is CNY 3,499 ($502). Just make sure you are one of the first in line because stock won't last.

OnePlus Teases the New Triple Rear Camera of the OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus will bring out the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro on May 14 and it's already starting their teaser campaign. Under the hashtag #OnePlus7Series we get the first official nod to the new triple camera that's expected to  be a highlight of the OnePlus 7 Pro ( but is unlikely to appear on the OnePlus 7). The teaser carries the laconic message " Bells and whisle make noise. We make phones." The triple camera is expected to consist of a 3x zoom camera, an 117Â degree ultra-wide unite an d a 48MP regular module. The latter will appear in the OnePlus 7'' dual camera setup, likely accompanied by second 24MP camera. The price expected to start €700 ( approx. Rs. 54,600).
