Yesterday,  Honor announced  a bunch of new tech that's supposed to make it to its future smartphones and the 48MP camera sensor is one of them it takes advantage of the Quad Bayer tech. The camera uses Sony's IMX586 CMOS sensor with 0.8 micron pixel size. It will surely be part of the upcoming Honor View 20. Thanks to its Quad Bayer method that stacks four adjustment 2x2 pixels into the same colour, photos appear sharper and without much noise even challenging low-light scenarios. To show off its amazing capabilities, Honor published a bucketload of camera samples some of which are in black and white using the full 48MP resolution. Huawei's sub-brand Honor showcased its latest Honor View 20 smartphone with in-display camera and 48MP AI rear camera. While Honor View 20 will be making the global debut on January 22nd, it will first lauched in China as Honor V20 on December 26th. The Honor View 20 is the first smartphone to sport 48MP Song IMX586 sensor. Talking about in-display camera, a hole with a diameter of 4.5mm will be drilled on upper left corner to fit the front-facing camera.  The company also introduced the new LinkTurbo technology that will bridge both the LTE and Wi-Fi connections. The recently launched Honor Magic 2 will be the first smartphone to get the LinkTurbo feature. Under the hood, it will be using the latest Kirin 980 octa-core processor built on 7nm FinFET process. Honor 8C Honor 8C was first lauched in China last month. Now, Honor 8C has been launched  in India. The new budget smartphone by the Huawei's sub-brand Honor features a 19:9 display panel with a traditional notch. It is also powered by an all-new Snapdragon 632 SoC. The smartphone has a face unlock feature that uses the frontal camera sensor along with an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to recognise facial features of users. Gradient colour options are also available on the Honor 8C that brings it against other Honor smartphone.   Honor 10 Lite is all set to launch at an event scheduled in China for November 21. With about a week to go for its official unveiling, the Honor 10 Lite has been spotted online up for pre-orders on Huawei-owned Chinese retailer Vmall's website. Additionally, the upcoming Honor 10 Lite Images has also been spotted on TENAA. An interesting “Supreme” branded variant of the phone is also expected, as per yet another leak. The Honor 10 Lite is now up for  pre-orders  on Vmall in China. The pre-orders began on November 13 and will run until November 21, the date of its official unveiling  in China. Interested buyers can make a reservation without paying a token amount, however the final pricing of the smartphone has not been revealed yet. The Honor 10 Lite is scheduled for a November 21 release and will bring three Honor 10 phones ( including the Honor 10, Honor 10 GT).  Ahead of its release, the device images has been spotted on TENAA. Another  leak has also surfaced that reveals there will be a special edition called the Honor 10 Lite Supreme.   The TENAA listings are for three different variants with model numbers HRY-AL00a, HRY-AL00, and HRY-TL00. All three have the same design save for their colors. The AL00a and TL00 models are black while the AL00 version has a chrome red finish.     The Honor Lite will have dual rear cameras arranged vertically and with a separate housing. Below the camera sensors is a LED flash and in the middle of the phone sits a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Huawei's online-focused sub-brand Honor on Thursday announced that the brand has sold over one million smartphones during the Diwali festive season sale on Flipkart, Amazon and the Honor store. As compared to 2017, the company touched a 300 per cent growth during the Diwali season sale, the company said in a statement. "The record-breaking sales are a true testament of our efforts in creating the best offerings for our users and we hope to deliver by exceeding expectations in our future endeavours," said P Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group. Honor's mid-range "Honor 9N" and "Honor 8X" were star products on Flipkart Big Billion Days sale and Amazon Great Indian Festival sale respectively, the company added.
