Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Launched in India, Specifications and Price

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi launched its latest Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 at an event in India, today. At the event, Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director, Xiaomi India, said that Xiaomi is bringing Redmi Y3 as the successor to Redmi Y2 to India. He also revealed that company is launching Mi LED Smart Bulb in the country. The Smart Bulb support both Alexa and Google Assistant. It will be available by crowdfunding campaign on the company's official website beginning April 26. Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Specifications Redmi Y3 sport a 6.26-inch display with company's Aura design and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It bears AI-powered dual rear camera setup, which houses 12MP primary camera and 2MP depth camera. The Redmi Y3's rear camera setup comes with Google Lens integration. Redmi Y3 Shown Off In Latest Video

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi recently shared a video teasing the 4,000 mAh battery on the upcoming Redmi Y3. Now, the company has posted yet another teaser which reveals the phone's design. The video shows the textured back of the Redmi Y3 which is home to a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner. On the front, the smartphone has a waterdrop notch display which is surrounded by thin bezels on three sides, and a thicker chin. This video also shows the company putting the Redmi Y3 through an improvised tumble-down-the-stairs "durability challenge" to showcase how tough this selfie-centric smartphone is. The Redmi Y3 will be launched next week on April 24 at an event in New Delhi, India. It will feature a 32MP selfie snapper which will be one of its biggest highlights. Source

Android 9 Pie Update is now Rolling-Out to some Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite units

Xiaomi's Mi A2 Lite is part of the Android One program and launched this  summer running Android 8.1 Oreo, but a beta build of Android 9 Pie was made available by the company a couple of weeks ago. It looks like there weren't any huge issues with it, because now the stable update to Pie is rolling out to some Mi A2 Lite units in the wild.  XDA Developers reports that one user in Poland has shared screenshots proving he got the update and you can see below. The Android 9 Pie update for the Mi A2 Lite comes as a 1GB download and brings with it FM radio functionality, adaptive battery and brightness, as well as recommended apps and actions based on your context. Xiaomi's Black Shark Gaming Phone is Launched in Europe, Price

Xiaomi’s Black Shark sub-brand makes its Western debut today with the  eponymous Black Shark gaming phone in Europe  The phone is officially priced at £439 / €499 (approx. Rs. 40,652) for a 6GB RAM / 64GB of storage model, going up to £479 / €549 (approx. Rs. 44,733) for 8GB / 128GB. For a limited time, however, UK pricing will be £409 / £449 (approx. Rs. 37,690 - Rs. 41,381) and European prices will be €469 / €519 (approx. Rs 38,197 - Rs. 42,269). Despite Xiaomi's seemingly well-timed launch in the UK  last week, Black Shark says the phone will only be available through the sub-brand’s own website for now. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro India Launch Set for November 22

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is now all set to launch in India on November 22. Xiaomi has shared launch invites with the media and while the invite doesn't clearly mention which phone will be launching on that date, it does say "The New Note Rises" - leaving no doubt as to which series will be launched in the country. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the highly anticipated successor to the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro handset and was only recently unveiled in Thailand. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Version with 4GB RAM and 128GB Storage Incoming

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Xiaomi  expanded its Mi 8 portfolio  with the Mi 8 Pro and the  Mi 8 Lite  back in mid-September. The Mi 8 Lite was initially available with 6GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage and 4GB RAM/64 GB storage, but now a fourth 4GB/128GB variant was introduced in China. The device will launch on November 16, and will make its way outside its domestic market later on. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite was introduced with 6.22” notched screen and a 24 MP front-facing camera. The chipset is Snapdragon 660 and offers fast-charging for the 3,350 mAh battery. There is also a neat dual camera on the back, fingerprint scanner to keep it company and a neat gradient back panel. The device is expected to arrive in Europe, Ukraine  and France being the first markets to get it . Xiaomi also held a party in the UK and is planning an event in the United States, so hopefully, the Mi 8 Lite will make it even more markets.

Xiaomi Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Mi LED TV 4C Pro, 4A Pro and Mi PowerBank 2i Price Hiked in India

Xiaomi India on Saturday announced price hikes for two its most affordable smartphones - the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A as well as select TV and powerbank models. Xiaomi said in a statement on Twitter that the price increase was necessary due to "a significant rise in input cost" thanks to rupee that has "depreciated against the dollar by nearly 15 percent." The entry-level variant of the  Redmi 6 will  now retail price at Rs. 8,499, an increase of Rs. 500 as compared to its  launch price  of Rs. 7,999. As of now, the price of the 3GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant of the Redmi 6 remains unchanged at Rs. 9,499. Xiaomi Redmi 6A  (2GB+16GB) will now retail price at Rs. 6,599, an increase of Rs. 600 from its introductory launch price of Rs. 5,999. Black Shark Gaming Phone Xiaomi’s Black Shark gaming  phone was released in China earlier this year, and now, the device will launch in Europe on November 16. The phone comes with a detachable gaming pad and liquid cooling with temperature reductions of 8 degrees Celsius. The Black Shark is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, Adreno 630 GPU, and it comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a 4,000mAh battery and a 1080p 21:9 display. Xiaomi has launched two new laptops Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch. Both the laptops are powered by Intel’s 8-generation Cor i3 chipset and run on Windows 10 Home Edition.
