Honor View 20 Unveiled with In-Display Front Camera and 48MP AI Rear Camera


Huawei's sub-brand Honor showcased its latest Honor View 20 smartphone with in-display camera and 48MP AI rear camera. While Honor View 20 will be making the global debut on January 22nd, it will first lauched in China as Honor V20 on December 26th.

The Honor View 20 is the first smartphone to sport 48MP Song IMX586 sensor. Talking about in-display camera, a hole with a diameter of 4.5mm will be drilled on upper left corner to fit the front-facing camera. The company also introduced the new LinkTurbo technology that will bridge both the LTE and Wi-Fi connections. The recently launched Honor Magic 2 will be the first smartphone to get the LinkTurbo feature.
Under the hood, it will be using the latest Kirin 980 octa-core processor built on 7nm FinFET process. It comes packed with the new Cortex-A76 cores and 10-core Mali G76 GPU. The dual NPU will help in faster analyzing of the AI tasks. With the dual NPU and dual ISP, the 48MP sensor on the Honor View 20 will have an advantage over others. Stay tuned for more details.

Yesterday,  Honor announced  a bunch of new tech that's supposed to make it to its future smartphones and the 48MP camera sensor is one of them it takes advantage of the Quad Bayer tech. The camera uses Sony's IMX586 CMOS sensor with 0.8 micron pixel size. It will surely be part of the upcoming Honor View 20. Thanks to its Quad Bayer method that stacks four adjustment 2x2 pixels into the same colour, photos appear sharper and without much noise even challenging low-light scenarios. To show off its amazing capabilities, Honor published a bucketload of camera samples some of which are in black and white using the full 48MP resolution. Xiaomi Black Shark Helo, Gaming Phone Goes on Sale Early

Xiaomi's  Black Shark Helo  gaming phone was  announced a week ago  and the release date was supposed to be November 10, but it appears that the handset is arriving a bit early. A lot earlier, in fact. In a Weibo post, Lei Jun, Xiaomi's founder, announced that the official Mi online store will start selling the phone as early as today. The flash sale begins at 8PM local time and as far as we can tell from the post, it's the second one for today. Unfortunately, the 10GB version is still not here to be found and the store is offering the 8GB/128GB and the 6GB/128GB configurations only. The 6GB model will sell for CNY 3,199 ($459) while the asking price of the 8GB alteration is CNY 3,499 ($502). Just make sure you are one of the first in line because stock won't last.

OnePlus Teases the New Triple Rear Camera of the OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus will bring out the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro on May 14 and it's already starting their teaser campaign. Under the hashtag #OnePlus7Series we get the first official nod to the new triple camera that's expected to  be a highlight of the OnePlus 7 Pro ( but is unlikely to appear on the OnePlus 7). The teaser carries the laconic message " Bells and whisle make noise. We make phones." The triple camera is expected to consist of a 3x zoom camera, an 117Â degree ultra-wide unite an d a 48MP regular module. The latter will appear in the OnePlus 7'' dual camera setup, likely accompanied by second 24MP camera. The price expected to start €700 ( approx. Rs. 54,600).
