Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Launched in India, Specifications and Price


Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi launched its latest Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 at an event in India, today. At the event, Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director, Xiaomi India, said that Xiaomi is bringing Redmi Y3 as the successor to Redmi Y2 to India. He also revealed that company is launching Mi LED Smart Bulb in the country. The Smart Bulb support both Alexa and Google Assistant. It will be available by crowdfunding campaign on the company's official website beginning April 26.

Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Specifications

Redmi Y3 sport a 6.26-inch display with company's Aura design and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It bears AI-powered dual rear camera setup, which houses 12MP primary camera and 2MP depth camera. The Redmi Y3's rear camera setup comes with Google Lens integration. For selfies, Redmi Y3 comes with 32MP sensor. The sensor size of the Redmi Y3 selfie camera is 22.5 percent larger than the one present on Redmi Y2. The Redmi Y3 packs AI Beautify 4.0 as well as Auto HDR. Under the hood, the Redmi Y3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. It is backed by 4,000mAh battery. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the other hand, the Redmi 7 sport a 6.26-inch 19:9 HD+ Dot Notch display with company's Aura design and Gorilla Glass. The Redmi 7 include a dual rear camera setup with 12MP and 2MP sensors, which supports AI Portrait mode and AI Scene Detection. For selfies, the Redmi 7 comes with 8MP front-facing camera. Under the hood, the Redmi 7 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC and backed by 4,000mAh battery.
According to company executive, there is a fingerprint sensor onboard as well as with dual SIM support, 3.5mm audio jack, IR blaster, hydrophobic nano-coating, and a dedicated microSD card slot. The will be offered in Lunar Red, Comet Blue, and Eclipse Black colours.

Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Price

The Redmi Y3 will carry a price tag of Rs. 9,999 for 3GB of RAM/ 32GB internal storage variant in the country. The  4GB of RAM/ 64GB internal storage variant will retail at Rs. 11,999. The Redmi Y3 will go on sale beginning April 30 via Mi.com, Amazon, Mi Stores, and more.
The Redmi 7 Price in India will start at Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB of RAM/ 32GB internal storage variant in the country. The 3GB of RAM/ 32GB internal storage variant will carry a price tag of Rs.8,999. The phone's fist sale is scheduled for April 29 via Mi.com, Amazon, Mi Stores, and more.

Xiaomi Black Shark Helo, Gaming Phone Goes on Sale Early

Xiaomi's  Black Shark Helo  gaming phone was  announced a week ago  and the release date was supposed to be November 10, but it appears that the handset is arriving a bit early. A lot earlier, in fact. In a Weibo post, Lei Jun, Xiaomi's founder, announced that the official Mi online store will start selling the phone as early as today. The flash sale begins at 8PM local time and as far as we can tell from the post, it's the second one for today. Unfortunately, the 10GB version is still not here to be found and the store is offering the 8GB/128GB and the 6GB/128GB configurations only. The 6GB model will sell for CNY 3,199 ($459) while the asking price of the 8GB alteration is CNY 3,499 ($502). Just make sure you are one of the first in line because stock won't last.

OnePlus Teases the New Triple Rear Camera of the OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus will bring out the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro on May 14 and it's already starting their teaser campaign. Under the hashtag #OnePlus7Series we get the first official nod to the new triple camera that's expected to  be a highlight of the OnePlus 7 Pro ( but is unlikely to appear on the OnePlus 7). The teaser carries the laconic message " Bells and whisle make noise. We make phones." The triple camera is expected to consist of a 3x zoom camera, an 117Â degree ultra-wide unite an d a 48MP regular module. The latter will appear in the OnePlus 7'' dual camera setup, likely accompanied by second 24MP camera. The price expected to start €700 ( approx. Rs. 54,600).
