Samsung's Foldable Galaxy F Rendered in 3D

Samsung  announced the infinity Flex Display  last week, but not the actual phone that will use it - the best we got was a schematic look at its design. LetsGoDigital has put  together some 3D renders based on patent drawings from Samsung rather than CAD design. A render of the Samsung foldable phone (based on Patent drawings and other info) In its folded form the phone, tentatively called Galaxy F, presents you with a 4.6” 480 x 1,960px display. The “hinge” looks similar to the one on the Surface Book, but this design hasn't been confirmed (it's one of several options patented by Samsung). The  concept video  from a couple of days ago really overestimated the size of the small screen. Hidden inside is a tablet-sized screen that unfolds to 7.3” in diagonal and 1,536 x 2,152px resolution. Samsung worked with Google to  design the UI  so apps can go between the small and the big screens seamlessly. Samsung will reportedly do another demo of t...

Samsung Launches Exynos 9820 with 2Gbps LTE Modem, Tri-cluster CPU and Dedicated NPU

Samsung released its latest Exynos 9820 chipset for smartphones. It is based on the 8 nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFET process and is an evolution from the 10 nm Exynos 9810. Samsung implemented 4th-gen CPU with two custom cores for ultimate processing power, two Cortex-A75 cores for performance and a third cluster of four Cortex-A55 units for efficiency. The company said the new configuration has intelligent task scheduler to boost multi-core performance by 15% from the previous Exynos. The single-core results would be up to 20% and provide 40% power efficiency. The LTE-Advanced Pro modem is another step towards 5G chipsets with 2 Gbps downlink speeds, but the company deterred from using the next-gen term in its press release. Technical specs included 8x CA and 316 Mbps uplink. Like its predecessor, the Exynos 9820 relies on 4x4 MIMO, 256-QMA and eLAA technology for “blazing speeds.” On the G...
