Meizu has officially unveiled the flagship Meizu 16s smartphone today in China. The Meizu 16s comes with the 3D curved glossy finish body and aluminum frame. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It comes with 6GB of RAM/ 128GB internal storage and 8GB of RAM/ 256GB internal storage. It will be available in Classic White, Phantom Blue, and Carbon Black color options. Unlike the other smartphones in the market, the Meizu 16s still comes with the notch-less display.
Meizu 16s Specifications
The Meizu 16s runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie-based Flyme OS out-of-the-box. It sports a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2232×1080 pixels) resolution and 18.6:9 aspect ratio. It also supports DC dimming technology and offers 91.53% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with 6GB and 8GB of RAM and will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options.
In the camera department, the Meizu 16s comes
with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and a 20MP Sony IMX350 sensor on the rear. It supports 4-axis OIS, AI scene detection, and all-new Super Night mode. However, there is no telephoto or wide-angle sensor on the Meizu 16s. For selfies, the company is offering the new 20MP Samsung 3T2 sensor. Both the front and rear cameras offer portrait and AI beauty modes. The Super Night mode will be made available on the earlier launched devices through a software update in the coming months.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port. It also supports NFC and the users can use Meizu Pay for making payments and using the local transit systems. Meizu 16s also features dual-band GPS for more accurate tracking and support dual SIM dual standby. It also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. The Meizu 16s is backed by a 3,600mAh non-removable battery and comes with 24W fast charging technology. It measures 151.9x73.4x7.6 mm and weighs 165 grams.
